Birthplace:  Los Angeles,  California.

Began Arm Wrestling in 1979.  Allen was a natural right from the beginning. Won the World Championships in 1980.

"I give credit to my mentor Ernie Jeffreys, an avid promoter of arm wrestling.  I saw  the vision for arm wrestling as a professional sport and did something about it.   Ernie also took notice of my relenting determination, tremendous strength and large hand.  He told me that I would become a world champion if I would think like a professional."

First tournament: 5th place with the National Arm Wrestling Association qualifier for the National Title at Magic Mountain.

I  met Jack Wynn, known as "Popeye" who was at the time one of the best "Pullers" in the nation.  I trained with him for a few months.  I suffered many "arm wrestling beatings". Competing against Jack in the California State Championships and beating him allowed me to gain recognition in the our sport.  I competed in the amateur ranks for 3 months, defeating some of the strongest, most knowable and endurance pullers on the west coast. I  dominated the amateur division in my weight class and was asked by many arm wrestling Associations to move up into higher weight classes. 'To keep it fair'...

Going Pro:

"The decision to go from amateur to professional status was not easy. At the  N.A.W.A. World held in Las Vegas, my first match with none other than David Patton, a top rated "puller" who was to be my rival for the next 20 years,  I decided to go through the losers division and guess who I had to get through for the Championship? Jack "Popeye" Wynn.

Lights, camera, action on  "ABC Wide World of Sports" held in Petaluma Californian. This  was considered  the most prestigious World Championships in arm wrestling.  I Placed 3rd one year, then 2nd, and finally won 2 years back to back.  Finally being defeated by the renown John Brzenk.
Allen's victories.

1st place: "Over the top"  World Championships held in Las Vegas. This competition involved filming the movie "Over the Top" with Sylvester Stallion.  Over 500 competitors from all over the world.

The secret to fueling the body:

"I soon learned that in order to be at peak performance I had to supplement my diet.  I just wasn't one who eat good food.  For most of my Arm Wrestling career, I consumed and endorsed what were considered to be the best supplements an athlete could obtain.  About 1996  I found that  optimum health  can be found in only in whole food, not vitamin supplements. I now take encapsulate whole food. Fruits , vegetables and grains in capsule form. I am so glad I am doing what is best for my body."

Yours in Health and Fitness,

Allen Fisher
World Champ
